Bachelor Party 2 is the story of a group of male friends.
One is getting married, and his dragged off to a big bachelor
party before his seemingly-inevitable wedding day. What
he doesn't know is that the man who set up the party has
his own agenda - and wants to steal away his soon-to-be
wife. ***
One thing that needs to be made clear is that this
isn't really a Bachelor Party movie. Fox more-or-less just
swiped the name from the Tom Hanks eighties classic and
slapped it on this movie, most likely as an effort to sell
more copies. ***
All right, on to the actual review. This movie is,
in the simplest terms possible, terrible. The original Tom
Hanks film was no masterpiece - but next to this sequel
that isn't even really a sequel, it is. If you've seen any
teen comedy of recent years, you've seen this movie's plot
line done better. Every character is a clichéd one. The
storyline is predictable. There's literally nothing here
you haven't seen before. There's too damn much filler, and
what little has some entertaining value is few and far between.
This film isn't worthy to carry the name of the Tom Hanks
movie. Hell, it's not even worthy of existing. It's a generic
T and A movie that brings nothing new onto the table. Don't
waste your time. ---
Image And Sound:
You'd think, considering this is a brand new movie,
and the fact that 20th Century Fox is one of the biggest,
most successful film countries on the face of the planet,
they would have been able to make this movie look good on
DVD.
*** Wrong.
This is one of the worst DVD picture quality jobs this
reviewer has ever seen. The whole picture, from start to
finish, is blurry and hazy, and the colors are unimpressive.
Sound quality fares better, but it certainly doesn't compensate
for the horrible image quality.
