The Review:

“I met Princess Diana, I had lunch with the first lady”, so says Heidi Fleiss whose main claim to fame continues to be her former occupation as a high class hooker and madam. The good news is that this movie is actually a decent TV flick. Like hooking, It’s all about surface and no substance. As Heidi gets sucked further and further into the world of hooking, I expected some sort of insight on the part of the characters. McDougall’s flashy direction makes the story more interesting. In many respects, this is the story of a spoiled little girl who found the best way to continue to be spoiled was to have sex with celebrities and learn the business side of hoking. Jamie-Lynn DiScala (“The Sopranos”) gives an appealing performance as Heidi and she receives able support from Robert Davi as her slimy older boyfriend and a nice cameo from Corbin Bernsen. ---

Image and Sound: A nice sharp, vivid transfer is a highlight of this transfer. The 5.1 Dolby Digital doesn’t use the format to its best advantage but it does have a nice, full sound. ---
The Extras:

You pay for what you get here. This tawdry little story has no extras. I'm surprised that there aren't any outtakes but I couldn't see a featurette on the production of this as being all that interesting

Commentary: No commentary track
Final Words: A solid cast provides little more than eye candy in this surface examination of Fleiss and her ascent to become madam to the Hollywood stars. “Call Me” is still an enjoyable little diversion. USA Network which originally produced this made sure that alternate scenes with nudity and sex were shot for the DVD release so be aware of this fact if you’re watching this movie while the kiddies are still up. Heck, you shouldn’t even be watching this with the kiddies around.
