The second season of Dave's World continues to follow
Miami newspaper columnist Dave Barry (Night Court's Harry
Anderson), who finds material for his work in the form of
his wife Beth (DeLane Matthews), their young sons Tommy
(Zane Carney) and Willie (Andrew Ducote), and his best friends
(Hollywood Squares' Shadoe Stevens) Kenny and Sheldon (Designing
Woman's Meshach Taylor). The series, based on the real Dave
Barry, was a Top 30 show during its sophomore season, which
is available on DVD with all 25 episodes. ***
This season finds Dave's World getting more bigger
by the minute, as Tommy going on his first date; Dave and
Beth joining the neighborhood watch; the Barry family coping
with the aftermath of Hurriance Ashley, the visit of Dave's
sexually aroused mother-in-law, the birth of Tommy, Dave
thinking about a vasectomy, and much more. ***
