ER is the most successful medical drama to ever air
on television. However currently it has overstayed its welcome
and needs to be taken off air. The episodes are getting
so ludicrous and its just not making good television anymore.
With season five we still have George Clooney part of the
cast as well as Anthony Edwards. The early seasons were
great television with some great characters that we actually
care about. Season five shows us the departing of one character
and the introduction of a new one, but the change doesn't
hurt the show. Season five is great television and fans
and newcomers will enjoy it. --- Image & Sound: The show
is presented in fullscreen with Dolby 2.0 stereo. The picture
is very good with no signs of flaws. The show was done in
the mid 90's so technically it stands with current shows
just minus the widescreen factor.

The special features are adequate considering this
is the fifth season DVD release. They are entertaining but
we get nothing informative here. I think commentaries are
a TV show DVD's best friend and we should have seen some
select commentaries at the least.

Great show with a great cast
delivers a great season. The DVD is worth owning for the fans
and is not a bad addition to your collection. |
