When a comedy becomes lame, it's just time to put it
out of its misery. While the performances during the sixth
season of "Full House" certainly save much of the lesser
material included here this was the season where the show
truly jumped the shark. Introducing D.J.'s new boyfriend
(Scott Weinger), new romantic entanglements some drama should
have given this long running popular comedy an injection
of energy; instead it feels like a series of nervous tics
that are interesting only because you really want to see
which one will disastrously rear its ugly head next. So
Jesse gets to live his dreams of being a rock star but realizes
it comes at the expense of the happiness of his family and
other uninteresting things happen to the clan. It's mildly
engaging and most kids won't truly notice the quality dip
but adults will. ---
Image & Sound:
As with previous seasons the images are occasionally
soft with colors that bleed a bit but overall the show (which
was videotaped) looks pretty good considering its age and
format. Audio sounds fine as it is a dialogue driven comedy
and the dialogue comes through loud and clear (even when
you don't want it to). ---
