It's time to head back to the Playboy Mansion for another
season of The Girls Next Door. The series follows the life
of Hugh Hefner, creator of Playboy Magazine, and the three
women who live with him in the mansion - Holly Madison,
Bridget Marquardt the animal lover, and Kendra Wilkinson
the jock. With interesting adventures and beautiful women
in every episode, it's one of the best reality TV series
of recent years. ***
The set includes all fourteen episodes from the series'
third season, as well as the “Bedtime Stories” clip show
special. Episodes are divided amongst three discs, with
bonus material present on each disc. ---
Image And Sound:
There are no serious audio/visual problems with this
set. The picture is sharp and bright, and audio is loud,
clear, and easy to hear. This is the way a TV show on DVD
should look. ---

Features: |
Just like earlier DVD releases of the series, Fox goes
the extra mile and gathers together loads of bonus material.
Not only can you finally see the episodes commercial-free
on DVD, you can watch them with uncensored audio. Additionally,
extended episodes have been included as well, and deleted
scenes that only sweeten the deal. The girls also recorded
commentary for the episodes, which any die-hard fan will
get a kick out of. Topping off the package are numerous
smaller featurettes, including television promos. I'm impressed
at how well Fox has handled this show on DVD.

Final Words:
|
One of the most entertaining
reality shows to come along in a long time - and Fox has done
an excellent job porting it to the DVD format. Great show,
great DVD transfer, and great bonus features to top things
off. If you're a fan of the series, get it. |
