“Las Vegas: Season Four -Uncut and Uncensored”
Reviewer:
Wayne Klein
Studio: Universal Home Video
Genre: TV-Series
Release:
9/11/07
Special Features: Backstage with cast & crew/Behind the Scenes: Making Of Las Vegas 4/ and a season 3 recap
Review:

As with the first three seasons of “Las Vegas” we follow the adventures and occasional misadventures of Ed Deline (James Caan) the head of the Montecito Hotel and Casino, his daughter Delinda (Molly Sims) who manages the restaurant and club, Danny McCoy (John Duhamel) who assists Ed in keeping trouble out of the Montecito.

This season also stars Jill Hennesy and Jerry O'Connell of Crossing Jordan as they join the team in a cross-over episode! The season of Vegas was a little different than the past seasons, It dealt with the emotion of the characters, and the last few shows had you glued to you set to find out just what happened to all of the characters throughout. In my epinion the best season so far.

Image & Sound: “Las Vegas” features a colorful transfer with some minor compression artifacts that crop up now and again. Audio sounds pretty good overall. ---

Special Features:

Backstage with cast & crew & Behind the Scenes: Making Of Las Vegas 4/ both of these featurettes that were centered around the making of the show were a real treat to see the other side of the camera with producers/directors and the stars of Las Vegas and just what goes on during the filming of these fast pace episodes along with a insightful season 3 recap.

Final Words:

“Las Vegas” continues to be entertaining but the DVD release of the show truly gives DVDs a bad name. The lack of extras and the so-so transfer of the show is a surprise given the fact that it is 1)currently on the air 2) the fact that DVD has been around for quite a while now and it’s a recent show. The fourth season is a disappointing set for fans with only a few special features, but if your a diehard fan were sure you'll pick this one up.
