The Review:

Politically incorrect humor still has its place. Just look at Comedy Central any day of the week and you’re bound to find something to offend anyone. Luckily, Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla of “The Man Show” don’t care about offending just anyone they want to offend everyone. That makes for some very funny TV and politically incorrect humor at that. Hey, if you want politically correct humor tune in to one of the major networks and watch one of their new, inoffensive comedies (“Arrested Development” an exception to that rule). ***

Featuring all 25 episodes from season three, you can now watch “The Man Show”. Oh, and more importantly, every episode doesn’t scatter the humor among a series of sketches (a la the tired “SNL” although of late it has improved a bit), instead every episode has a theme to offend. Whether it be “Sperm Banks”, “The Outdoors”, “Drunken Pilots”, “Breast Feeding Juggies” and “Assoholics Anonymous”. This show isn’t strictly for the alpha male but it helps if you are one. Many women enjoy this show (I can’t speak for all women though) and some just tolerate it because their men enjoy the show. Either way, you do owe it to yourself to at least catch it on Comedy Central or rent one or two episodes. If you’re not offended, keep watching because you will be. Really, “The Man Show” is a male’s fantasy. ---

Image and Sound: Bigger than triple D’s and brighter than Victoria’s Secret Underwear, “The Man Show” looks pretty good. The series is videotaped and has some limitations due to its format but you’re not watching this show for the picture quality. The stereo surround sound puts you right in the audience. You actually feel like you might be there. Maybe. You’ll be happy perhaps that you aren’t (would you want your boss to see you on this show? Much worse, would you want them to admit that they are watching this show where they saw you).
The Extras:

Deleted scenes that didn’t make it because of time constraints. It includes “Unseen Girls on Trampolines”, “Aliens”, “Women in Sports”. “Women in Sports”. For those thinking that there’s more offensive material or stuff they couldn’t show, sorry folks that just ain’t the case. We also get extras for other Eagle Entertainment shows such as “The Mole”, “Celebrity Mole” (where has been TV stars go to die), “Oblivious” a game show where you don’t know you’re on. Imagine “Candid Camera” with money and you’ve seen it. You don’t know you’re playing and, if you do end up playing or hosting, you can extras cash as well. I wasn’t all that impressed with the extras. It’s hard to top what was broadcast. ---

Commentary: How could you possibly comment on this series? What would you say that could possibly match it?
Final Words: “The Man Show” clearly made for men although you don’t have to be a man to enjoy it. Just a little bit of a desire to hear rude jokes, politically incorrect sexist humor and lots of references to sex and you’re perfect for this show. Did I mention scantily clad women? Did I mention references to “boners”? If I didn’t I’m sorry. If I did, I’m sorry I offended you. Hey, if you’re reading this you wanted to be offended, right?
