The Review: : Relic Hunter is a Syndicated TV Series starring Tia Carrere as the "female Indiana Jones." The DVD contains 22 episodes each episode a quest for a lost relic or object of some historical or monetary interest. There is no mystery to each show's setup...an opening teaser with the relic, in its own time, important ... but it becomes lost. We find our intrepid crew of perky Claudia played by Lindy Booth, clueless mostly but then she surprises you, humorous sidekick, Nigel Bailey played by Christien Anholt and our hero, finder of lost relics, Professor Dr. Sydney Fox employed by a university doing their thing. Someone intrudes and makes a request "Find the Relic"....the Quest is launched and a COMPLICATION occurs like a curse, or a booby trap or just plain old bad juju. Our hero(s) prevail and satisfaction, intellectual that is, is the end result. With that formula in mind, the show has found some unusual "relics" and built a show around it, giving us enough history bogus or not, that the show is interesting. Some "shows" are better than others and some shows leave the formula behind... but the production values are commendable. The DVDs are faithful to the show and much more interesting...no ads....
Image and Sound: The colors are definitely saturated, but overall no complaints. there are no audio selections to choose... tv audio.
