Review:

Remington Steele's third season hits DVD in this decent four disc set with all 22 episodes. Fans of the show should be pleased as the show doesn't let up in it's third season. Pierce Brosnan stars as Remington Steele, the role that eventually led to him being chosen for James Bond. The show is in some ways like Bond as it mixes in comedy with it's drama mystery. Bond is more about the action adventure with witty sarcastic dialogue. The show should please fans, especially those of classic movies since the show pays homage to the classics in many ways. Fans of Bond should love the series, and fans of Steele should be pleased with this set.

Image & Sound: A show like this would benefit from today's production values, but for an 80's show it looks pretty decent. The sound is a mono track as expected, but the set is on par with the previous seasons. ---

Special Features: You get three episode commentaries that are worth taking a look at, especially for Gleason's contribution. The featurettes are also pretty good and should please fans of the show to see a little behind the show. One featurette also focuses on Michael Gleason himself. The set also has some character profiles. Very nice for an 80's TV series DVD set. ---

Final Words:

Fans of the show will be picking this one up no matter what, but for newcomers I think it's worth getting the three seasons out on DVD now and start watching. Fans of James Bond should be pleased with the storylines, characters, and locations. Overall a decent entertaining season.
