Teen Titans feels like what you get if you were to just
pile on all the scraps after a family dinner. You can make
a full meal out of it, but no one is gonna eat it. Robin
is your main character in this kids show that looks like
American Japanimation, if that makes any sense. I mean seriously,
I'm sure even the 8 year-old kids are saying why does Robin
lead his own team of superheros? He's a sidekick. I'm reminded
of the recent Family Guy joke in where we cut to a car hanging
off the edge of a cliff and Robin jumps into the scene to
save the day. The girl in the car goes "Robin? You don't
have any super powers, why did they send you?" He then takes
out a cell phone and says "Yeah, but I have a cell phone!
Oh wait, no bars!" In the second season (if you must know)
a new character is introduced and recruited into the Titans
named Terra. If you are reading my review of this DVD there
is a good chance you are not under 12 and probably don't
have much interest in the show. Great to entertain the kids
with after school that's about it.
Image & Sound:
Image is sharp and colors are bright, it's an overall
good presentation. Warner usually has pretty darn good transfers
and no exception here. The sound is your basic 2.0 Dolby
mix, which shouldn't be a surprise. Technically, the set
is pretty good. ---
