Review:

We come to the sixth season of "That 70's Show" an amusing glimpse to the flared bell bottom era. Like "Happy Days", "That 70's Show" allow us to pine for a different less intense time (particularly if you were smoking pot as was the norm for a lot of folks then). The sixth season continues with some changes to the show-Red has a heart attack and the uncertainty of Eric's relationship with Donna (the hot redhead on the show0. Two more seasons would follow and although the show was past its prime, the sixth season still has enough substance to make it essential for fans of the show. ---

Image & Sound:

Presented in its original full screen presentation, the shows looks quite nice with relatively artifact free presentation. Colors are vivid and pop off the screen. Audio sounds good as well but it's a dialogue driven show so keep that in mind. ---

Special Features:

We get three audio commentaries with the show director David Trainer. We also get "A 70's Flashback: Debra Jo Rupp" and "A 70's Flashback: Kurtwood Smith" focusing on two of the finest actors (and often unsung) on the show. These interviews are short (about 6 minutes a piece) but interesting. We also get a montage of clips from the sixth season as well as each episode promo spot.

Final Words:

While "That 70's Show" had peaked prior to the sixth season, the top notch writing, direction and acting kept the boat afloat where lesser shows might sink like a stone. As usual the entire ensemble gives terrific performances. I'd recommend this season although I'd suggest starting with season one or two if you're just jumping into the series.
